About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location in Chicago, Illinois. The officer will help safeguard the property by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, assisting tenants and visitors, and communicating with team members and property personnel. The role calls for a customer-focused approach and teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care for people. The position pays $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to midnight.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, taking part in emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and constructively to incidents, tenant concerns, suspicious activity, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, building entrances, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe property activity, reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and unusual conditions to appropriate site contacts.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and customer interactions according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
