About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Screener in Lake City, Florida, you will safeguard clients at a correctional facility by supporting security-related operations. You will screen visitors, staff, and belongings, monitor entry points, and report unusual activity. A professional presence and strong communication skills help maintain a secure, orderly environment while providing respectful customer service. The position is full time and pays $21.75 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Wednesday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, Thursday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, and Sunday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
• Screen visitors, staff, and belongings at the correctional facility.
• Monitor entry points and report unusual activity.
