As a Security Officer Full Time in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a hotel and resort location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming atmosphere, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This role is ideal for someone with security-related experience who values teamwork, clear communication, and a caring, reliable, and integrity-driven approach to serving guests, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related activities according to site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, corridors, guest-facing areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help support authorized access, observe activity, and communicate clearly with hotel/resort personnel and/or first responders when needed.
  • Assist with de-escalation efforts, provide directions and information to guests, and help to deter unauthorized behavior through a professional presence and consistent application of post procedures.
