Security Officer Part Time Armed Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time armed patrol Security Officer for a retail location in Houston, Texas. The officer will safeguard clients and visitors by conducting armed patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service. The role requires a Texas Level III Armed Certification and pays $17.25 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Employees can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The company also offers paid training and career-growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to store personnel, customers, and visitors while following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and use established protocols to address incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events, contacting appropriate support resources.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points and customer and employee activity; report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
- Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
