About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Representative in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic commercial real estate location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
• 21+ years of age is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations and activities according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor and contractor entry processes while following property rules and established post orders.
• Communicate with property management, tenants, and/or local responders as needed regarding security-related concerns, disturbances, and unusual conditions at the location.
