Security Officer - Full Time Nights

About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location in Indianapolis, Indiana, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support visitor management, respond to incidents and emergencies, and provide exceptional customer service. The role is scheduled Wednesday through Friday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and pays $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established protocols and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points, support visitor management procedures, direct individuals to appropriate locations, and report unusual activity.
Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
