About The Position

As a Security Officer X Ray Screening in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will use screening equipment and observe access points to help identify potential concerns, support a welcoming experience, and assist with security-related protocols. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-screening protocols at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
  • Screen persons, packages, deliveries, and materials entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures, escalating prohibited items, irregularities, and policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Verify credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation; maintain accurate records of screening activity and access-related incidents.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, loading zones, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report observed concerns.
