About The Position

As a Security Officer Welcome Desk in High Point, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location as a Front Desk Officer, where you will welcome visitors, help manage access, monitor lobby activity, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a front desk location.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating with staff regarding arrivals.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through appropriate channels.
  • Answer phones, support front desk operations, and provide directions and information to visitors, employees, and/or vendors in a professional manner.
  • Observe activity in the lobby and entry areas to help to deter unauthorized access, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or unusual activity.
