About The Position

As a Security Officer Welcome Center in PENNINGTON, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a front desk location within a financial institution.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, greet employees, visitors, and/or vendors, and verify access permissions in accordance with site-specific protocols.
  • Answer questions, manage visitor check-in processes, and communicate clearly with staff and guests regarding building access, directions, and/or front desk procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details through required communication channels.
  • Support access control functions by observing entry activity, helping to deter unauthorized access, and documenting front desk-related events, concerns, and/or service requests.
