About The Position

As a Security Officer Welcome Center in Lake Mary, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. In this stationary role, you will assist with access control, greet visitors, support badge processes, and help address security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a front desk location within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, logging arrivals and departures, and communicating with site contacts regarding guest access and/or deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
  • Support day-to-day front desk operations by answering questions, directing foot traffic, maintaining awareness of lobby activity, and helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive presence and adherence to post orders.
