About The Position

As a Security Officer Welcome Desk Attendant in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures, visitor reception activities, and assigned security-related policies for a retail location.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying credentials as appropriate, issuing passes, and documenting arrivals, departures, and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, tenants, vendors, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support front desk operations by answering phones, directing guests, maintaining visitor logs, and reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns through established channels.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations through attentive observation of the lobby and entry areas, while providing professional assistance to customers and staff.
