Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at an educational location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, assist with visitor check-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive front desk presence.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate contacts when needed.
  • Support security-related documentation by maintaining accurate visitor logs, incident notes, and other required front desk records.
  • Communicate with campus personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders regarding security-related concerns, unusual activity, and site needs.
