As a Security Officer Welcome Center in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, visitor processing, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting employees, visitors, and vendors, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests in line with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Support front desk operations by answering general questions, maintaining detailed activity and visitor logs, and reporting unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with monitoring entry points, reception systems, and communication channels for a fast-paced technology-focused location while providing a professional presence and service-oriented approach.
