As an Access Control Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally, and remain visible while conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and access control policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, visitor authorization, contractor credentials, and delivery documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate access-related logs, visitor records, key or badge issuance records, and incident documentation as required.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and/or facility concerns.
