As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and support visitors and employees with professional customer service. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and document entry and exit activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Screen incoming personnel, vehicles, and deliveries as assigned; report unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, and policy concerns to the appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access-control areas, buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
