Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a fast-paced logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, assist with visitor management, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel, drivers, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations and incidents.
