As a Security Officer Visitor Screening in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, identifying and reporting security-related concerns, and providing courteous customer service. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity and communicate with team members and site personnel. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Hold CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen individuals and personal belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, reporting prohibited items or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
  • Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate areas, and maintain orderly entry points in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, surrounding grounds, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
