Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and front desk protocols at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access through security-related screening and sign-in procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, direct guests, manage visitor logs, issue badges or temporary credentials, and support security-related documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Observe front desk activity and surrounding entry points, report unusual behavior or conditions, and follow site-specific policies for escalations, deliveries, and after-hours access requests.
