About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Registration Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Have at least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor badges, maintaining entry records, and communicating access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Monitor entry points, access-control systems, and visitor activity; report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and notification protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
