Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured entry points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders while documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
