As a Security Officer Visitor Intake in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in an educational location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, monitoring access, assisting visitors, and supporting a professional atmosphere. You will stay visible at the front desk, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk of an educational location.
  • Monitor front desk activity, manage visitor access procedures, verify identification as required, and document arrivals, departures, and/or incidents in accordance with location guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with school personnel, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership when needed.
  • Answer phones, provide directions, support sign-in and sign-out processes, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and consistent application of front desk protocols.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records related to visitor activity, incidents, and other security-related concerns while supporting a professional and welcoming environment.
