Requirements

Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
Monitor lobby and reception area activity, verify visitor and vendor access, and help to deter unauthorized entry through established sign-in and credential review procedures.
Respond to incidents, service requests, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts when needed.
Answer questions, provide direction to patients, staff, and visitors, and document security-related events, access activity, and/or unusual observations according to site protocols.
