About The Position

As a Security Officer Visitor Checkpoint in Burbank, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, visitor processing, and/or emergency response actions appropriate to a front desk location.
  • Monitor entry points, greet employees, tenants, guests, and vendors, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain front desk logs and records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management, tenants, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by answering questions, directing foot traffic, reporting unusual activity, and helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive front desk presence.
  • Operate communication systems, phones, cameras, and other site equipment related to security-related duties, and document observations, incidents, and/or service requests in a timely manner.
