As a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Davenport, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen packages and personnel, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen people, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with site policies and post instructions.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant security-related details.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or delivery information, and report unusual activity or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, since working environments and conditions may vary by location.
