Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy utilities location, helping to manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure, professional environment. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Guided by a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will help to deter security-related incidents while acting with integrity every day.

Requirements

Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification verification steps, and security-related protocols at a utility location.
Monitor entry and exit points, process authorized access requests, and help to deter unauthorized entry through attentive screening, credential checks, and visitor logging practices.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant activity to supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of designated buildings, control points, and perimeter areas, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
Document daily activity, access exceptions, and incident details in required reports, logs, and/or electronic systems while supporting site policies and operational needs.
