As a Security Officer Visitor Access in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, documenting activity, and conducting routine patrols. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access-control records, and report access discrepancies or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, where assigned. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
