You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and badge access, and communicate professionally with employees, drivers, and guests. Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a marine terminal location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification, visitor credentials, delivery documentation, and authorization for personnel, vehicles, and contractors entering or exiting the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate visitor and vehicle logs, and communicate access concerns or unusual activity to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and cargo-handling surroundings; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
