Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support day-to-day site operations with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, reliable approach that reflects our agile and innovative culture.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe coming and going activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitor processing, and follow site protocols for restricted areas.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol activity, and/or notable observations, and assist with following post orders and location procedures during routine and emergency situations.
