About The Position

As a Security Officer GED Proof Patrol in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout interior areas, entry points, restricted spaces, and the exterior perimeter, noting conditions that could impact operations or require follow-up.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitors, staff, and deliveries, verifying authorization when required, and helping to deter unauthorized entry or inappropriate activity.
• Support a healthcare-related environment by maintaining a professional presence, assisting with directions and routine questions, and following post orders related to sensitive areas, property, and/or interactions with the public.
