As a Security Officer Unarmed - Full Time in Augusta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and employee access, and maintain accurate records using computer or tablet systems. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with site personnel, and support a welcoming, security-related environment. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points at a chemical processing location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor and contractor passes, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and personnel in accordance with site requirements, reporting unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, and policy concerns to the appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and communicating relevant details to supervisors and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
