As a Security Officer Unarmed Vehicle Patrol in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response activities appropriate for a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with local management and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, storefront corridors, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support orderly operations, assist with crowd-related issues, and report maintenance, policy, and/or security-related observations.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and visitor activity, addressing non-confrontational issues when appropriate, and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
