As a Security Officer - Unarmed Screening Specialist in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help support a professional environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal belongings in accordance with site procedures, and help to identify prohibited items or unusual activity for further review.
Verify identification, issue access credentials when appropriate, and help to control entry to restricted areas based on authorized access requirements.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or site contacts.
Document screening results, visitor activity, and/or incidents in required logs and reports while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
