As a Security Officer Licensed Unarmed Patrol Agent in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a government services location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with screening and sign-in processes when required, and report unusual behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support a respectful environment by interacting professionally with staff, visitors, residents, and/or members of the public while following post instructions and established protocols.
