As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Auditor in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify identification and/or authorization as directed by site policies, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or hazards.
• Support staff, visitors, and occupants with directions, de-escalation, and communication during routine operations and/or unusual events, in alignment with post instructions and Allied Universal standards.
