As a Security Officer Patrol in Galveston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting observed activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual conditions and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access to the location and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing visitor activity, verifying credentials when required, and reporting policy violations.
  • Support a professional healthcare environment by assisting with directions, managing routine security-related inquiries, and communicating clearly with staff and/or first responders during urgent situations.
