About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Associate in Boston, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service while reporting concerns and assisting with access and incident response. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access control issues, disturbances, and medical-related support requests as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete required reports and logs such as incident reports, patrol activity logs, and shift pass-downs, and assist with staff and/or visitor directions to support orderly operations.
