Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in accordance with site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify identification and/or access permissions as directed, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
