As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Omaha, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a transportation location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing badge access, monitoring entry points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity, assist visitors and employees, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to transportation facility clients, visitors, passengers, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to designated transportation areas by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining access logs, and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
