Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist customers and staff with professionalism and care. In this dynamic role, you will support daily operations through strong communication, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a welcoming environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed conditions, suspicious activity, and policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrance areas, sales floor, stock areas, parking lot, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or other unwanted behavior through visible presence and routine interaction.
• Support closing and opening activities, assist with crowd flow during busy periods, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
