Requirements
- Hospital vaccinations are required.
- The client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and help manage visitor flow, directing people to appropriate departments and addressing questions with professionalism and courtesy.
- Support a welcoming healthcare environment by observing for unusual behavior, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
