About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Guard in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control activity, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, entrances, exits, common areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry while assisting with visitor direction, policy reminders, and other security-related support functions.
Work closely with site personnel, public-facing staff, and/or first responders when needed to address security-related issues and maintain orderly operations.
