Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access control procedures, and directions to hospital departments.
  • Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
