As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Reporting in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access activities, interact with residents, staff, and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a shelter location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, residents, and/or visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, disruptive behavior, and/or policy violations in accordance with post instructions.
  • Prepare clear reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observed concerns, and relay relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
