About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Monitor in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidance, and appropriate emergency response activities at a public cultural location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and observe for unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, gathering spaces, and high-traffic public areas to help support orderly operations, provide directions, and document incidents and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Assist with crowd management during events, performances, and/or community activities by helping maintain clear pathways, addressing guest questions, and communicating security-related issues to site contacts.
