As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Springfield, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Driving Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to concerns, communicate clearly, and support a welcoming environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture with teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and assist with directing patients and visitors to appropriate areas.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
