Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous conditions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
  • Report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and potential hazards to designated site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
