Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous conditions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Report unusual activity, equipment concerns, and potential hazards to designated site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
