As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a government location through routine vehicle and foot patrols, visible presence to help deter incidents, and professional customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or authorized personnel at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and maintain accurate records of entries, incidents, and daily activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with site response procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with government personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while following post orders and applicable procedures.
