Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility operations areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related concerns in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
