About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Detail in Ronkonkoma, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and screen visitor movement in accordance with location procedures, assisting with directional support and reporting policy violations and/or suspicious behavior.
Support daily operations by maintaining detailed activity logs, preparing incident reports, and relaying important information to supervisors and/or designated representatives.
