About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Agent in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government airport location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support daily operations through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while bringing an agile, reliable, and people-first approach to every shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, travelers, tenants, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related activities, and other security-related duties at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, roadways, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces, verify credentials and/or permissions when required, and document security-related events, observations, and daily activity in accordance with site policies.
• Support emergency response activities, provide directions and assistance to the public, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
